In the morning, after picking up our guests from designated points, we depart by bus for Bursa. After breakfast on the way, we arrive in Bursa, which passed into Turkish hands in 1326 by Orhan Bey and served as the capital of the Ottoman Empire for a period. Set at the foot of Uludağ, the Mysian Olympus, with an altitude of 2543 meters, we first visit the Grand Mosque, Turkey's largest mosque. Afterwards, we visit the tombs of Osman Bey, the founder of the Ottoman state, and Sultan Orhan Bey. We photograph the clock tower, which was completed in 1906 and is 6 stories high and 25 meters tall.
After lunch, we arrive in Iznik and Lake Iznik. In this charming town on the shore of Lake Iznik, we first see the Underground Tomb dating from the Roman period, Merdivenli Rock, the Monumental Plane Tree, and the Beştaş Obelisk. We enter the historic city through Istanbul Gate, one of the four main gates on the city walls. Then we see Rüstem Pasha Inn and Huysuzlar Tomb in a panoramic view. After also seeing the tile shops and the Ancient Roman Road here, we reach Hagia Sophia Church, which holds great importance for Christians. After visiting the church, which was converted into a mosque when Iznik was conquered by Orhan Gazi in 1331, we see the II. Murat Bath and arrive at the Hacı Özbek Mosque, the oldest and first Ottoman mosque built in Iznik. Afterwards, we visit the Süleyman Pasha Madrasa. Today, the Süleyman Pasha Madrasa serves as a tile-makers bazaar. Then we reach the Green Mosque. We see the Imaret, used as a museum, which was built in 1388 for the mother of Murat I, Nilüfer Hatun. Afterwards, we visit the Davudi Kayseri Tomb located next to the magnificent Topkapı Monumental Plane Tree. Later, from the point where the Lake Gate is located, we go out to the shore of Lake Iznik. From here, we photograph the remains of the Roman senate palace, arranged as a picnic area on the lakeshore, and the lake. Then we arrive at New City Gate. After seeing the Ancient Theater, we panoramically view the Orhan Gazi Imaret Mosque and Bath and reach the Kyrgyz Tombs. The Kyrgyz made outstanding achievements during the conquest of Iznik. There are seven sarcophagi inside. After visiting here, we return to Istanbul in the evening and bid farewell to our valued guests, hoping to meet again on our next tour.
