Cappadocia Tour (4 Days 3 Nights)
Duration 3 Night 4 Days
Day 01 - Devrent Valley, Pasabag (Monks Valley), Avanos, Göreme Open Air Museum
You will be picked up from your hotel early in the morning to fly to Cappadocia, and a transfer to the airport will be provided.
We arrive at Kayseri or Nevşehir Airport. We proceed to Devrent Valley, which is rich in fairy chimneys, and spend some time in this magnificent valley. Next, we visit the numerous mushroom-shaped fairy chimneys known as Pasabag (Monks Valley). After visiting Pasabag, we head to Avanos, famous for pottery dating back to the Hittite period, where we explore ceramic workshops operated by local artisans. After lunch, we visit the Göreme Open Air Museum, where rock-carved fairy chimneys house churches, chapels, and monasteries decorated with frescoes (the Dark Church is excluded; entry requires an additional fee). We then head to our hotel in Cappadocia, with a stop along the way for you to take photos in the valleys.
Day 02 - Rose Valley, Çavuşin, Ortahisar, Kaymaklı Underground City, Pigeon Valley
Guests who wish can join a hot air balloon tour early in the morning (extra).
We meet in the hotel lobby and set off to visit one of Cappadocia’s most beautiful trekking valleys, Rose Valley. We walk through this valley and discover famous rock churches. We take a short break in Çavuşin, an old Greek village known for its Christian homes and churches. After lunch, we visit Ortahisar Castle, reminiscent of Uçhisar Castle, where we can see storage caves. In the afternoon, we visit the Kaymaklı (or Özkonak) Underground City, where early Christians lived in fear and faith. On the way, we stop at the panoramic Pigeon Valley, where pigeons contribute to the local life with their droppings used as fertilizer. Guests who wish can taste local Cappadocia wine at a winery. We then head to our hotel in Cappadocia for the night.
Day 03 - Ihlara Valley, Belisirma, Selime, Derinkuyu Underground City
We meet in the hotel lobby and depart for Ihlara Valley, created from the ashes of the volcanic Mt. We walk along the valley watered by the Melendiz River, and then proceed to Selime, known for its carved castles and churches perched on steep cliffs of fairy chimneys. We take a short break for photos in Yaprakhisar village. In the afternoon, we visit Derinkuyu Underground Village, which served as a refuge for Christian communities, with stables, storage rooms, dining halls, churches, and wine cellars.
