Ephesus and House of Virgin Mary Tour - (Day Trip)
We Start Early in the Morning.
Your flight to Izmir takes place in the early morning hours. After leaving the airport, you will pass by colorful settlements and proceed through lush hills and olive groves to reach the House of the Virgin Mary, located approximately 25 minutes away. According to widespread Christian belief, after Jesus' resurrection, Mary was brought to Ephesus by the Apostle John and spent her final years there. This tradition is linked to the biblical passage indicating that Jesus entrusted his mother to John's care. This small structure, known for its tranquility, surrounding trees, and wall of wishes, offers visitors a spiritual atmosphere.
After visiting the House of the Virgin Mary, you will head to the Ancient City of Ephesus and begin your walking tour. As one of the most impressive archaeological sites in the world, Ephesus, with its marble streets and magnificent ruins, transports you to the vibrant life of antiquity. The Odeon, Trajan's Fountain, the baths of Scholastica, the Temple of Hadrian, and the impressive Library of Celsus are the main stops of the tour. The library, adorned with columns, reliefs, and statues, reflects the cultural richness of the past. The Great Theater, where Saint Paul preached, stands out as one of the largest performance venues of the ancient world with a capacity of 24,000 people. The Arcadian Way, used by Mark Antony and Cleopatra during their ceremonial processions, completes the city's splendor.
The visit to the Ephesus Open-Air Museum lasts approximately two hours. After an afternoon break, you will head to the Temple of Artemis, also known as the Temple of Diana, recognized as one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Built in honor of Artemis, the goddess of hunting, wildlife, and fertility, this structure gained fame as the largest marble temple in the ancient Greek world, being four times larger than the Parthenon in Athens. The temple was not only a center for religious ceremonies but also a lively marketplace where merchants gathered. Thanks to offerings and valuable items presented by pilgrims, it accumulated great wealth and was thus also called the first bank in the world. Today, however, only a few columns and limited archaeological remains of this magnificent structure survive.
At the end of the tour, your transfer to Izmir Airport will be arranged.

Our tour is a day trip with no hotel accommodation. Our tours, consisting of bus transport, tour program, and guiding services, form an indivisible whole and cannot be considered separately. Unused transportation, side trips, etc., rights within the tour are not refundable.
Our vehicles depart at the specified times from the designated meeting points for each tour; please be ready at the meeting point at least 15 minutes before departure time.

In cases where children under 18 years of age (minors) do not participate in the tour accompanied by one or both of their parents, the necessary consent letters required for tour participation must be carried by the individuals during travel.
The agency reserves the right to cancel the tour if there are insufficient participants, provided it gives notice 3 (three) days in advance. The latest circular supersedes all previous ones. Prices include VAT.
