The Istanbul-based “Balkan Trio Tour: Kosovo – Albania – Macedonia, 3 Nights 4 Days” program is specially designed for travelers who wish to explore the heart of three countries in a short time. You will experience one of the routes where you can feel the Balkan spirit the most with Ottoman traces, impressive mountain views, lakes, bridges, and squares. On the first day, we will depart from Istanbul in the morning and head towards the Balkans with a comfortable bus journey, during which your guide will provide information about the region's history, culture, and stories extending to the present day. In the evening, we will arrive in Kosovo and settle into the hotel. Afterward, for those who wish, we will take a night walk.
You will breathe in the captivating atmosphere of Prizren and Pristina in Kosovo. As you walk through cobbled streets, historical mosques, inns, and bridges, you will see the architectural heritage left from the Ottoman period and have the opportunity to meet the warm people of the Balkans. You can enjoy the panoramic view of the city from the historical Prizren Castle and sip your coffee in Shadrvan Square. Guests may immortalize these moments with local delicacies and coffee breaks. After our exploration in Kosovo, we will make a short journey to Albania.
In Albania, the capital Tirana and cities famous for their stone architecture await you. Skanderbeg Square and the surrounding structures will shed light on the country’s recent history and modern face. While walking amidst colorful buildings, bustling cafes, and city parks, you will discover the dynamism of Albania. As your guide explains the changes from the communist period to the present, you will also be able to capture these moments with photo breaks. At dinner, you will have the chance to savor the beloved flavors of Balkan cuisine and unwind from the day's tiring activities.
After our tour in Tirana, we will turn our route to Macedonia, setting out to explore Ohrid and Skopje, the most romantic stops in the Balkans. During our visit by Lake Ohrid, you will feel as if you are wandering through an open-air museum with lake views, narrow streets, historic churches, and the atmosphere of the market. In Skopje, you will see both Ottoman and modern Macedonian traces among streets adorned with Stone Bridge, squares, mosques, churches, and statues.
On our last day, you will have free time for shopping, where you can buy gifts from the Balkans for your loved ones, and experience Balkan music and street life at your own pace. On the return journey, you will return to Istanbul with memories of this intense yet delightful program encompassing three countries. The “Balkan Trio Tour” offers an unforgettable getaway for our guests who are interested in history, nature, and culture.

This way, guests can better plan their days, making arrangements for shopping, free time, or additional tours beforehand.
The duration of the tour is 3 nights and 4 days, and accommodations are generally made in double rooms in 3 or 4-star hotels close to the city center; an extra fee may be charged for single occupancy: Throughout the tour, accommodation is provided for 3 nights, usually in safe and easily accessible 3 or 4-star hotels located close to the city center. The rooms are mostly shared double rooms, and guests wishing to stay alone may be charged an additional fee under the “single room difference” category.
It should be clarified before the tour what is included in the price (transportation, accommodation, certain meals, panoramic city tours, guiding services) and what is not included (visa procedures if necessary, personal expenses, entrance fees to museums and archaeological sites, extra tours, lunch/dinner): What is included in the tour price (airplane/bus transportation, hotel, breakfast or some meals, panoramic city tours, professional guidance, etc.) should be explicitly stated at the sales stage. In addition, extra costs such as visa fees, extra tours, entrance fees to museums and archaeological sites, personal expenses, and certain meals should be detailed in advance to prevent surprise costs later.
The validity period of passports, visa requirements, green passport rights, and documents that may be needed at border crossings (travel health insurance, photocopy of identity, etc.) should be checked before the tour date: Since it is generally expected that your passport is valid for at least 3-6 months when entering Balkan countries, this period should definitely be reviewed before the trip. It should also be clarified before the tour which countries require visas from Turkish citizens, the exemption status of green passport holders, and documents that may be requested at the border such as insurance policies, booking outputs, and photocopies of identity.
It is recommended that you bring season-appropriate clothing, comfortable walking shoes, personal medications, a power adapter (if needed), and cash in euros and/or a credit card for extra expenses; currency exchange for local currencies can usually be done after arrival: Since Balkan cities often require walking, layered clothing suitable for the weather and comfortable walking shoes are very important. You can bring your personal medications, adapters for different plug types if hotels use them, and a small amount of cash in euros as well as your credit/debit cards for small expenses, while currency exchange transactions can mostly be done at currency exchange offices or banks in the countries you visit.
It should be noted that there may be slight changes in the timings and content of the tour program due to weather conditions, traffic, congestion at border crossings, or decisions by official authorities, and in such cases, the information and directions from the guide should be considered as primary: Especially during border crossings and intercity travels, delays may occur due to traffic, weather conditions, or customs congestion, and there may be minor deviations in the program flow. In such cases, real-time updates and directions from the tour guide regarding the necessary changes for the safety and comfort of the group should be prioritized.
