Byzantine and Ottoman Monuments Tour (Full Day)

In the morning, we will pick you up from your hotels (in the city center) and start our tour. We will visit the Hippodrome, Hagia Sophia Museum, Sultanahmet Mosque, Grand Bazaar, Topkapi Palace, and the Sultan Tombs.
Hippodrome (Sultanahmet Square): It was the center of sports events in Constantinople, the capital of the Byzantine Empire. Today, it is one of the most visited places with its four monuments: the German Fountain of Wilhelm II, the Egyptian Obelisk, the Serpent Column (Spiral Column), and the Constantine Column.
Sultanahmet Mosque: Built between 1609-1616 by Ottoman Sultan Ahmed I, it is a unique structure with six minarets. (Closed on Fridays).
Hagia Sophia: Built as a basilica in the 6th century by Emperor Justinian, it is the largest architectural work of its time. (Closed on Mondays).
Grand Bazaar: With around 4000 shops selling antiques, jewelry, gold, carpets, leather clothing, and souvenirs, it is one of the most attractive shopping centers in the world.
Sultan Tombs: There are five sultan tombs squeezed behind Hagia Sophia; Sultan Selim II, Sultan Murad III, Sultan Mehmed III, Sultan Mehmet I, and Sultan Ibrahim I (closed on Mondays).
Topkapi Palace: It is the residence of the Ottoman Sultans. It is now used as a museum. You can see the imperial treasury, holy Islamic relics, palace kitchens, Chinese porcelain, and weapons. (Closed on Tuesdays).
At the end of the tour, we will drop you off at your hotel.
